Welcome to Kraus-Bike

On my site you will find bicycle paths which, in my opinion are in the most beautiful and interesting parts of the Sudety Mountains. Some of you are probably familiar with the Karkonosze but this part of the Sudety Mountains will not feature on my web-site as it lies too far from the Klodzko Valley whose detailed description takes most space here. Although I have been visiting Lower Silesia and it is magnificent mountains for over 25 years, each visit brings new discoveries.                                                                                                                                           

In my categorised photo gallery there are over 300 photographs from the Central Sudetes, and in the bicycling section you will find short descriptions of routes in the Table, Owl and Eagle Mountains as well as interesting links about mountain biking in the Sudetes Mountains. After the accession of the Polish and Czech Republic to the Schengen Agreement, Sudetes became a haven for mountain and hybrid cycling with over 2000 km’s of  trails on both sides of the border, many of which are used for winter cross-country skiing offering the region huge potential as a year-round resent.

These of you who wish to discover the Klodzko Valley and East Bohemia are invited to my organized bicycle trip in the spring of which details will appear in the “News and Travel” section of the website.
